Which Funwest Finger Type Offers the Most Realistic Hand Movement?

Funwest dolls are designed for realism and durability, offering a variety of finger skeleton options to suit different preferences. On the hand skeleton level, there are three types of fingers available, each with unique features to balance flexibility, safety, and lifelike movement.

1. Articulated Fingers

Disadvantages: Slightly firmer than normal fingers; may require careful handling

Structure: Multi-joint metal skeleton

Movement: Allows fingers to naturally grip, stretch, and gently hold objects

Advantages:

Highly flexible and durable

Joints hold position without springing back

Provides the most realistic hand poses

2. Normal Fingers

  • Structure: Simple wire construction with no joints
  • Movement: Can bend freely at any position
  • Advantages:
    • Softer than articulated fingers
    • Less likely to puncture skin
  • Disadvantages:
    • Less realistic
    • Lacks the jointed feel of articulated fingers

3. Hand Palm & Wrist Joints

  • Structure: Builds on Normal Fingers with ball joints in the palm and wrist
  • Movement: Supports gripping with more flexible and natural wrist motion
  • Advantages:
    • Balances realism with safety
    • Reduces risk of finger damage
  • Disadvantages:
    • Slightly less precise in finger poses compared to articulated fingers

Important Note

Only one finger type can be chosen per doll. For the most lifelike hand movement, Articulated Fingers are generally recommended. If skin puncture or finger damage is a concern, Normal Fingers or Hand Palm & Wrist Joints are safer alternatives.
